Tech-talk: differences in neoprene-thickness.

Tech-talk: differences in neoprene-thickness.
Despite of what most people think, wetsuit aren’t necessarily meant to keep you dry. A wetsuit is meant to protect your body and keep you warm so your only task is to focus on the good life.

First things first
We care about durability, innovation and your comfort. Wetsuits that feel like a cardboard on skin: NO! Definitely our nightmare. Therefore we design all of our wetsuits with finest, most flexible neoprene around. Add the most advanced technical features in the industry, a lot of watersport experience and voilà: in 2017 we offer a full collection of the warmest and most flexible (cold) water wetsuits around=)

We’ve got you covered: neoprene
Aspen 5/3 mm’, ‘Perth 3/2.5’, ‘1.5mm…uh, what?’ Sometimes you cannot see the wood for the trees with all those terms. Or the wetsuits for the water…

Well, let’s give you a little insight what these terms mean exactly.

• ‘Aspen 5/3mm’: The first number indicates the thickness of the neoprene (in millimeters), on the chest and back the wetsuit. We make the neoprene on the chest and the back of the wetsuit thicker, because you lose more warmth on these places.
• ‘Yukon 5/3mm’: The secondnumber, the number after the ‘’/’’ represents the thickness of the neoprene (in millimeters) on the legs and arms of the wetsuit. The neoprene on these parts of the wetsuit is slightly thinner, because these parts of the wetsuit have to have the most flex, to ensure freedom of movement. We make sure our wetsuits can be used for all water (sports) conditions. By doing this, we can guarantee you are able to enjoy your favorite watersport all year long.
• ‘Perth 3/2 mm’: Perth, Yukon, Aspen... I think I heard some of them on high school. If the penny hasn’t dropped yet: these are names of the prettiest cities all over the world. The wetsuit that carries the name, is suitable for the associated climate around in that particular location. Do you know which spot we mean, and which climate prevails in these areas? Find the full collection here.

Come on in, the water is awesome – Jobe.
