What is SUPing?

In Hawaiian known as Hoe he'e nalu, the SUP sport has Polynesian heritage, but really came to be popular as a pastime in the 40’s. Nowadays it’s the fastest growing sport in the world with enthusiasts paddling out everywhere!
SUPing lets one really connect with the water, the environment and scenery. Stand up paddle surfing, is exactly what it sounds like: the rider standing up on a long board, using a paddle to speed through the water.
Good all-round boards are big and stable with a nice soft footpad and a simple paddle to use. SUP wear can be anything from wetsuits to swim wear, yoga outfits to shirts n board shorts.
So have fun paddling out! SUPing is a great workout, but chill, serene and calm at the same time… And of course something you can do all year around!
