Today, JOBE proudly announced the addition of Jimmy Siemers to its International Ski Team.
JOBE continues to work hard at improving its dominant position in the international ski market. In addition to JOBE’s already impressive slalom ski range, this season an all-new Trick Ski will be added to the lineup as well. Jimmy Siemers collaborated on the development of this Trick Ski.
Jimmy Siemers is a professional three-event water skier and coach. Jimmy is a three-time World Record holder and three times World Champion. He has set two World Records in the Jump event with 233 and 236 feet and his best skiing moment came when he set the Overall World Record. Jimmy was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on March 24, 1982. He began water skiing at age four and began competing at age seven. At age 10, he moved to Round Rock, Texas and began training year-round in the warmer climate.
He is a former member of the Arizona State Water Ski Team, for which he won the trick event at collegiate nationals four times in his four years on the team before graduating in 2006. In addition to his four trick wins, he was an All-American in trick, jump, and overall throughout his college career. He also set a former collegiate trick record in his last tournament as a college student. In 2008, Jimmy spent his off-season training for and completing two half-Ironman and one full-Ironman triathlons. Today, he continues to swim, bike, and run but now focuses on tennis. Now living in Florida, he does not have an “off-season”, but can be found enjoying a week or two of snow skiing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming each winter.
JOBE is incredibly pleased with the addition of Jimmy to the International Ski Team. “I am very excited about the fact that we’ve been able to contract Jimmy”, says JOBE Sports International Marketing Manager Henk van der Werf. “He is an immensely talented and popular skier. In addition to having an admirable work ethic, professional attitude and successful ski school, Jimmy has proven to be a world class and record-breaking skier. He’s a great representation for the sport and an outstanding addition to JOBE!’’
