Strengthen your core with SUP!

Our last article already convinced you to start SUP to work-out, right? With SUP you use important muscles and you burn a lot of calories.
One of those body parts you are working on is your core. Because your core is important but complex at the same time, we found you an in-depth article that explains everything about your core. Every move you make involves your core (the area that basically covers your abdominal & spinal muscles). Therefore a well-developed core brings you extra stability for everything you do. From a simple jump to lifting something up: it all improves with that well-developed core! The good news therefore is that SUP strengthens your core!
Paddling keeps your core under constant tension because your body stabilizes itself on your SUP board. Especially paddling on unstable surface challenges your core. At these times your body is constantly balancing, which will strengthen your muscles.. Instead of doing your daily boring set of crunches and sit-ups you might as well do a SUP-session to work on that sixpack.
