8 must-do's when Stand Up Paddling

29 june 2017

Do something different: fun & crazy with your SUP.

There is nothing worse than sitting around on a Saturday after a full work week, and staring to an ant passing by. Yes, we're adults (or at least most of us are), but that doesn't mean we can't go crazy. Going out of your comfort zone boosts your weekend, and a little bit of craziness can make you a magnetically attractive person.

So instead of the hundredths pub crawl or spending like a maniak in the mall, get into the water with friends or some crush and try these. The only thing you need is a SUP-board. If you aren't a proud owner of one, you can book one nearby on sup2thepeople.com.

8 must-do's when Stand Up Paddling
☑1. Let your crush remember you: Dating on a SUP
Stuff a bottle of wine, bread and sweet or salt butter and you're ready to go. Hunt down your crush and invite the lucky bastard over for a unique and relaxing date. Believe us, success garantueed.

☑2. Twister but different: Yoga on a SUP.

- Get together with a bunch of friends and split into two groups.
- Let everyone write down at least 3 (self-invented) yoga-positions. Draw a puppit in the position with it.
- Grab a card.
- Let two members of each team compete with each other.
- Who will hold on the longest and who will get soaked while trying 'the floating baby' or 'flexible butterfly'?

☑3. Hijack a yoga-class.
If you aren’t a SUP yoga-star, get a group together and hijack a yoga class. This may not be all that crazy, but there is nothing more hilarious than watching your non-flexible friends trying to contort themselves into different poses. The others in the class might not enjoy it, or they might – makes no difference to you. Not so crazy, but really funny!

☑4. Brrrr.. The polar bear challenge.
This is definitely one of the most crazy things to do with friends! Jump on your SUP-board and hit the water during frigid temperatures. Just make sure that you are careful – it can be dangerous. There is nothing funnier than seeing the expression on someone’s face when they first hit the c-c-c-c-old water. Don't forget your camera.

☑5. Beach? Beach!
Ultimate mood boost: unexpectedly head to the beach. Last-minute tropical drinks - while tanning on a big SUP-board or crushing the waves with a wave SUP. Those drinks taste so much better.

☑6. Breakfast on a SUP
Hmmmmorning. Bring a hot jar with coffee, croissants and your version of a feast morning-meal and threat yourself on a blend between sunset, relaxation and scones.

☑7. 'Actually, this is a bit scary' SUPping
Have you ever seen a spot of which you thought. Impossible. Well, this is mission impossible. Try SUP on the Seine, above the blue hole or the jungle. But please, keep it safe. This isn't Jack Ass=D

☑8. Fishing on a SUP-board.

A SUP-board is the perfect choice for those who love to go fishing. On a big board, you can store all your equipment to catch a Discovery-worth river monster!
