Wetsuits First, let's understand what a wetsuit does and why it is useful. Wetsuits are a great apparel option that lets surfers, swimmers, and any water sports enthusiasts stay in the water all year round. A wetsuit is an neoprene either shorty or full suit that keeps you warm and dries out quickly in watersports. Wetsuits keep you warm by trapping a thin layer of water between you and the suit. Your body heats this layer of water so you won't lose too much heat when you're in the water keeping you warm.

For all watersports

With a Jobe wetsuit you can enjoy watersports all year long! The thickness, length, construction and the thermo lining of the suit determines the warmth of a wetsuit. Jobe wetsuits range from 1,5 to 4/3 mm neoprene, so you can hit the water with any temperature.

All Jobe wetsuits have ergonomic panels for optimal freedom of movement and comfort. Perfect for all kind of watersports! On top of that, the collection has fresh colors with bright details that matches with the rest of the Jobe collection.

D30 Shinprotector

When you're out on a jet ski, you need a wetsuit to protect you - aside from keeping you warm. With the innovative panels in our Detroit fullsuit 3/2 mm and Toronto Long John 2 mm you get that extra protection with help of the durable D3O material.

Two seperated panels in the knee and shin area have a wide protection range and great comfortability. A strong D3O panel protects the knee and the panel for the shin area is made of D3O LITE and covers a larger surface. D3O LITE is a range of soft, lightweight foams that offer enhanced cushioning and long-term comfort.

Limestone

At Jobe Sports, we use a Limestone based neoprene, which comes with lots of benefits. It's light, warm, it soaks up less water, has more flex and limestone has better isolation qualities. This offers great freedom of movement for the ultimate watersports experience. On top of that this fabric is more resistant to tearing then traditional wetsuits, so it makes them more durable!

Filled with features & techniques

A wetsuit protects your body & keeps your body warm in the water. Jobe wetsuits are produced from the highest quality neoprene. As a result, the overall level of stretch is much higher than normally used. On top of that all wetsuits are developed with specific ergonomic panels for optimal freedom of movement and comfort in each design. But it doesn't stop there; we also use drainage thermo inner lining in our steamers to keep you optimally warm. This technique quickly drains the cold water and keeps your body heat. Also we have strengthened our seams to ensure durability use.

Stiching techniques

The stitching of the seams is an important determinant of the warmth and flexibility of the wetsuit. Flatlock stitching is most common and it is a super durable technique. Flatlock stitching perforates the neoprene which means water might still enter the wetsuit. Therefore, we use the GBS technique in our high end wetsuits to give extra flexibility and that are meant to keep you warm. GBS stands for glued and blind
stitched. The neoprene is first glued and afterwards it's stitched. The stitching is only down half through so it doesn't perforates the neoprene. Water does not enter the wetsuit that way and that is what you want in cold water temperatures.

What type of wetsuit should I buy?

Choosing your wetsuits is dependent on the water temperature and the type of water sports you want to perform. Wakeboarding or slalom skiing demands a higher level of stretch than laying on a tube. Therefore, you want to look for the level of stretch in a wetsuit. Besides that, a chest zip gives more flexibility to the wetsuit, while a back zip means the wetsuit is easier to put on. Knowing the temperature of the water is very important. Colder temperatures require more high end wetsuits like our steamers that use a lot of techniques to keep you warm. Enjoying a tubing day in the summer? Then look for a shorty wetsuit instead.

Wetsuit fit

Next you should look at how a wetsuit should and will fit. A wetsuit should fit perfectly with no bunching in the arms or legs and no sagging in the back. The suit should fit snugly so that only a thin layer of water is kept between your body and the suit. If your suit is too loose, water will seep through, reducing its effectiveness in keeping you warm. A wetsuit should also fit snugly around your neck, wrists, and ankles ensuring that no water is able to pass through easily making the suit less effective.

You can also choose between a shorty, a fullsuit, a steamer or a 2-piece wetsuit.
