Like that paddle!
Thomas D
I had done a 2 star review on the Jobe Fiberglass SUP Paddel before, and sent it back, after losing a screw after 20 minutes being on the lake. After sending back the paddle I was already missing it and thinking about what to buy as replacement. Due to sharing my bad experience in the review, Jobe reached out to me and spoke out an honest apology. I had the Impression that this was meant true.
Based on that, and reading an external review on the Jobe Carbon Pro, and having had no paddle bag before, I decided to buy the "Jobe Carbon Pro SUP Paddel Dreiteilig mit Bag". The paddle arrived yesterday and weather was ideal for a short try (1 hour on the lake). My first experience so far:
* It is very lightweight, looks classy, and surface feels so smooth and good
* there was screw locking paint on the screw that I lost on the previous paddle. I am confident that this will protect me from losing a screw.
* I like the bag (carrying assembled or disassembled is possible)
On the lake:
* it is really light, so handover from one side to the other is no "effort" at all
* maybe subjective - but it felt more stiff than the fiberglass one (put to 220cm length)
I like the paddle and happy that I gave Jobe another chance:-)
BTW: was thinking a bit on my other review. On the one hand offering screws as spare can be a sign, that those are falling of easily. On the other hand, companies that offer spare parts for their products get more seldom and it is always annoying to buy the complete product again, when a single part is lost. So maybe I was a bit critical based on the mood of my experience.
