A photoshoot with Brabus

18 june 2020
Last year, Jobe and BRABUS decided to partner up to create some sick watersports products. The BRABUS X JOBE Shadow collection were especially designed for the new Shadow boats of BRABUS.

On the 27th of May, the Jobe team headed to the beautiful Traben-Trarbach in Germany for the shooting day. After a day of exploring nice spots to capture, get a last view over the shotlists, discuss the storyline of our film and the team was ready for the shooting day.

The 28th of May was a perfect sunny day and the Jobe team started at 6:00 to work out the storyline that has been made up. After preparing everything it was time to capture the first shots: drone time! Our drone flew over the Moselle to capture a beautiful early morning sunset.

After the drone sessions it was time to get the lasts things at the grocery shop, discuss the shotlist for the 100th time and next up it was time to head to the harbor where the BRABUS boats were located. At the docks we met the BRABUS team with their coordinator, photographer and videographer. While the coordinators talked about the plans of the day, the rest of the team was shooting their first content of the boat. We didn’t take too long and drove with the BRABUS team to the next photoshoot location where the BRABUS car was located. To be a bit more specific: a BRABUS Adventure XLP. A big black monster with 800 (!) horsepower.

Whiling prepping all shooting gear on this location, the models arrived and we were ready to start the model-shootings. First topic: models and car. After a while of shooting and instructing, it was time to get on the boat, the BRABUS Shadow 900! We connected the Shadow Lounger and we dressed our models in the BRABUS X JOBE vests. Time for action on the water!

During our boat shots we shifted our team from chaser boat to BRABUS boat to ensure we captured the sickest action shots, lifestyle shots, drone shots, boat shots, product shots… And so on! After a few hours of shredding on the water at high speed, the moments were captured and the job was done.

Paddling time! Now it was time to focus on the last BRABUS X JOBE products: the Shadow SUP and the Shadow bodywarmer. The Jobe team prepped the set for the lasts shots: the sup scenes. The setting had a beautiful evening sunset on the Moselle which complemented our SUP gear. It was the perfect place to end the day with some stunning drone shots.

It’s a wrap! The shotlist has been fully finished so it was time to clear the area and pack our gear. At 22:00 the Jobe team returned home with a content feeling! A long, but successful day.

Got curious for the full BRABUS X JOBE video? The release will be on the 22th of June! And for those of you who can’t wait anymore… We’ve got some extra behind the scene pictures.
